EU passport requirement
All job offers published by WorkBridge Europe are available only to candidates holding a valid passport of a European Union member state. This page explains exactly why this requirement exists and what documents are accepted.
Why an EU passport is required
Employers and employment agencies in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium hire candidates who can legally start work immediately, without applying for a work permit or a visa. Citizens of European Union member states have the right to free movement of workers, so they can be registered by the employer within a few days.
For candidates from outside the European Union the employer would have to run a separate immigration procedure, which usually takes several months. That is why the offers on this website are limited to EU passport holders.
Which documents are accepted
The following documents allow you to apply:
- A valid passport issued by a European Union member state
- A valid national ID card issued by a European Union member state, together with your EU citizenship
Which documents are not sufficient
Unfortunately we cannot accept applications based on the documents below, even if you already live and work in Europe:
- A residence permit issued by an EU country
- A work visa or a Schengen visa
- A passport of a country outside the European Union
- A refugee or temporary protection document
Your passport must be valid
Check the expiry date before applying. Employers usually expect the document to be valid for at least six more months, because your contract, payroll registration and accommodation are all registered using this document.
